TIER’S PLANNING VIEW

When this earns a place in the plan.

AI search visibility starts with information that can be found, understood and trusted. TIER treats it as a discovery problem built on clear service content and sound technical access. There is no defensible promise that an answer engine will recommend a business for a particular query.

Use this work when buyers ask comparison, suitability or process questions that your site does not answer well. Clear definitions, practical examples and credible business information can make the site more useful to people and retrieval systems. Visibility still depends on the engine, query, eligibility and changing presentation.

EXECUTION THAT MATTERS

Best practices before and during the buy.

  1. Publish the judgment a buyer actually needs.

Explain when a service fits, its limitations, what affects cost and how alternatives differ. Attribute research and distinguish factual definitions from your planning view. Original expertise is more useful than a paragraph that merely restates a keyword.

  2. Keep the business and its evidence consistent.

Use accurate service names, locations and contact details, clear internal links and indexable primary pages. Describe credentials only when they exist. Update substantive claims and source links as platforms and policies change.

  3. Monitor discovery without turning it into a guarantee.

Google’s current guidance places generative search within SEO and rejects special ranking hacks. Its systems ignore llms.txt for Google Search, and no special schema markup guarantees AI visibility. Other engines can differ. Review available search reporting, relevant referrals and qualified inquiries, with dated notes about the environment.

INDUSTRY FALLACIES

Claims worth challenging.

“An AI file or special schema makes the brand recommended.”+

A file or markup format is not an endorsement mechanism. Use documented engine requirements and verify what the change is supposed to accomplish.

“Repeatedly naming the service teaches every model to prefer us.”+

Clear terminology helps readers understand the offer. Manufactured repetition does not create authority or guarantee retrieval.

“A screenshot of one answer proves durable visibility.”+

Answers can change by query, user context and time. Treat observed mentions as evidence of that observation, not a permanent ranking.

CATEGORY-SPECIFIC APPLICATION

The tactic changes with the business.

Professional services

Answer suitability, scope, process and commercial questions in plain language. Give a prospective buyer enough detail to judge the fit without inventing an outcome guarantee.

Healthcare and financial services

Use credible subject review and clearly stated limits. Factual accuracy and appropriate claims matter more than writing authoritative-sounding assertions that the business cannot support.

Local and multi-market businesses

Make service availability, locations and the relationship between regional and national delivery clear. A reader or engine should not have to infer whether the business can serve the requested market.

YOUR DATA / BETTER BUYING DECISIONS

Put customer insight to work.

Use real customer questions and accurate product or service information to improve content. CRM insight supports editorial priorities, not guaranteed AI recommendations. TIER plans and coordinates CRM analysis, address hygiene and approved appends with the client’s existing providers. Separate observed first-party records, licensed appended attributes and modeled audience inferences. Agree on provenance, freshness, permitted use, match coverage and fees before buying. Use eligible data to support allocation, appropriate customer exclusions and outcome analysis. Use aggregate insight to prioritize geography, topics and accurate business information while keeping private records outside public content.

QUESTIONS BEFORE COMMITTING BUDGET

What a buyer should ask.

  • Which real buyer questions are the current pages failing to answer?
  • What evidence supports the claims and credentials on the page?
  • Can the intended engines access the authoritative version of the content?
  • How will we distinguish observed visibility from qualified commercial response?
